Matthew, Jean Ann, Bill, and Kevin
Bill and Jean Ann Bolling met while attending the University of Charleston and were married in 1978. Bill and Jean Ann moved to Mechanicsville in Hanover County in 1981 to put down roots and begin their family. Bill and Jean Ann have two sons, Matthew and Kevin.
On November 8, 2005, Bill Bolling was elected to serve as the 40th Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. From 1996-2005, Bill served as a member of the Virginia State Senate. Prior to that, Bill served as a member and Chairman of the Hanover County Board of Supervisors. Professionally, Bill is employed as a Vice President with Riggs, Counselman, Michaels and Downes, one of the nation's largest independent insurance agencies. Jean Ann Bolling is a dedicated mother and full time home maker. She is also actively involved in number of civic organizations, including Christian Women's Club, Community Bible Study and the American Cancer Society. Jean Ann also serves on the Citizens Advisory Board for Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville and the Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Matthew is a a recent graduate of Virginia Tech, where he received a degree in Computer Engineering. He is currently employed as a consultant with a Richmond-based IT company, Amentra. Matthew also owns and operates a small business, Magnolia Productions LLC, which specializes in computer services, graphic design, and web design.
Kevin is a junior at James Madison University, where he is majoring in music education. Kevin is an accomplished trombonist. He is member of JMU's highly acclaimed marching band, the Marching Royal Dukes. He has also played with the Greater Richmond Youth Symphony, and was a member of the Virginia All State Marching Band and the Hershey's All American Marching Band.
