Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling will outline the current state of jobs and employment at the Henrico Business Leaders meeting on Monday, April 11 at 7:30 am.
Bolling was invited by Henrico Business Leaders, a group of business, community, and government leaders, to discuss what lies on the horizon as Virginia continues its strong focus on economic development and job creation.
Virginia's unemployment rate, unadjusted for seasonal factors, averaged 6.6 percent in the second half of 2010 according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Henrico fared similarly at 6.75 percent. By comparison, the overall U.S. unemployment rate for that same time period averaged 9.3 percent.
"The lieutenant governor's goals for improving the business climate in Virginia are in line with our own," said Henrico Business Leaders president Joe Winston. "We know Henrico is a great place for business. We are resolved to make it even better."
The Henrico Business Leaders meeting will be held at Marriott Richmond West, 4240 Dominion Boulevard in Glen Allen. More details are available at http://henricobusinessleaders.com.
